Our Whole School Transformation Program envisions a future where every child, even in the remotest parts of Northeast India have access to quality education. At the heart of this vision is a strong emphasis on improving Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and grade level learning, recognising it as the cornerstone of all future learning. Through a long-term, integrated approach, the program goes beyond classrooms to strengthen the entire ecosystem around a child. We bring together teachers, school leadership, communities, and education systems to create supportive environments where every learner can thrive.
We work through two interconnected models: Depth and Scale.
In a select group of schools, we partner closely with teachers, school leaders, and communities to demonstrate what sustained, holistic improvement can look like. Guided by baseline assessments and real-time monitoring of each child through a robust M&E system, schools identify priority intervention areas and set a shared vision for transformation. Our work focuses on strengthening classroom practices, school leadership, cluster coordination, and school–community partnerships, while aligning efforts with NIPUN guidelines to achieve FLN goals.
Through the Depth model, we identify high-impact interventions that have proven effective on the ground. These are then expanded through the Scale model, combining simple, actionable improvements with field-tested best practices. Working closely with district and block officials, we design need-based teacher trainings and strengthen leadership capacity. By positioning the district as the unit of change, we enable targeted micro-improvements. Each district’s priorities guide the co-creation of customised solutions that are implemented and sustained across each of these districts..
Across both models, our focus areas include school ecosystem development, students’ holistic development, teachers’ professional growth, and school–community collaboration.
Together, the Depth and Scale models reflect our core belief: lasting change happens when schools and systems grow stronger side by side, creating environments where every child has the chance to learn, grow, and succeed.
